Our roots are based in our 15 year history with Students of the World, a global organization that inspires emerging creative talent to produce campaigns for some of the world’s most purpose-inspired organizations, ranging from Water.org, the Clinton Global Initiative, P&G, the American Institute of Architects, Pivot Television and UNICEF, among others.

Copywriter

THE OPPORTUNITY

CSpence Group is a small creative shop, with a fast-paced, fun and exciting environment and a commitment to creating purpose-inspired campaigns for our clients. We are looking for a dynamic, multi-disciplined copywriter who enjoys creative storytelling, problem solving, collaboration and finding new and engaging ways to bring brand and cause stories to life through a variety of mediums. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in our clients' brands, causes, products and audiences
  • Produce creative that is on-message, engaging, emotionally-compelling, and yields desired outcomes
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategies
  • Contribute to new business activities as well as inspire continuous engaging messaging for existing clients
  • Provide quality control over concepts and projects
  • Develop campaign core message and target audience
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team
  • Write and presenting creative options internally and to clients
  • Oversee the creative development from ideation to production
  • Help bring creative campaigns and design to life for the CSpence Group, as well as Students of the World

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree or certification in advertising, communication design, or visual arts, and/or 5+ years experience is preferred
  • A portfolio that shows compelling and inspiring ideas brought to life
  • Demonstrated ability to write in multiple voices and tones depending on the project; excellent ability to develop a passion and voice of a brand and to be comfortable speaking in that voice over a range of mediums
  • Be able to drive a wide-range of copy, including all aspects of brand identity, slogans, press releases, websites, social platforms, print and scripts for TV, digital or radio commercials.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide and present compelling concepts for our various clients or new business pitches
  • Experience being part of a collaborative creative environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work remotely with teams that travel frequently
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Take direction, go beyond what is asked, find solutions, and constantly challenge yourself
  • Interest in commerce, popular culture, causes, new advertising and engagement trends and techniques

TIMING & COMPENSATION

We are looking to fill the position by January. The position is full-time 2-month contract, with the option to extend to full-time salaried employment, if both parties agree. Compensation will be dependent upon experience.

Art Director

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a dynamic, multi-disciplined Art Director who enjoys creative storytelling, problem solving, collaboration and finding new and engaging ways to bring brand and cause stories to life. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in our clients' brands, causes, products and audiences
  • Produce creative that is on-message, engaging, emotionally-compelling, and yields desired outcomes
  • Create visually-compelling, engaging and innovative concepts for 360 degree marketing campaigns
  • Design traditional, interactive and experiential advertising and marketing efforts according to strategic plans provided by account executive or client
  • Contribute to new business activities as well as inspire continuous engaging messaging for existing clients
  • Art direct videos, photo sessions, freelancers and any outside sources
  • Articulate and support rationale for creative decisions based on the goals of the project
  • Develop decks, presentations and other visual collateral materials, as needed
  • Help bring creative campaigns and design to life for the CSpence Group, as well as Students of the World
  • Stay current with web design trends, tools, and practices

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A degree or certification in advertising, communication design, digital or visual arts, and/or 5+ years experience is preferred
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of relevant design tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Additional knowledge of editing software (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro) is preferred
  • An understanding of the capabilities of HTML, HTML5, CSS, and the capabilities of web and email browsers
  • Ability to extend traditional campaigns into other channels, including social, mobile, and experiential
  • The ability to present and support creative concepts in a professional and engaging manner
  • Experience managing and/or developing a strong brands
  • A commitment to constantly improving one’s skills and staying current on developments and trends in the industry, and sharing this knowledge with others
  • Experience being part of a collaborative creative environment

Executive Assistant

THE OPPORTUNITY

CSpence Group is a small creative shop, with a fast-paced, fun and exciting environment and a commitment to creating purpose-inspired campaigns for our clients. We are looking for a highly-organized and detail-oriented individual to provide support the CEO. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, demonstrated professional experience, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong candidate will also have experience in travel coordination, database management/CRM and event planning.  The EA should enhance the executive's effectiveness by providing proactive and organizational support, strong relationship management and representing the executive professionally to others.

The Executive Assistant will become part of a small team of creative professionals who work collaboratively to support the mission of the company and the CEO. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhances work of executive through general assistance and organizational support on a daily basis.

  • Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.

  • Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.

  • Represents the executive at events or by attending meetings with the executive, when necessary

  • Welcomes guests and clients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.

  • Maintains staff and client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Completes projects by assigning work to appropriate staff and vendors, as directed by the executive; following up on results.

  • Prepares reports by collecting and analyzes information related to the organization and executive’s work, on occasion

  • Assists with database management

  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions.
