iAspire For Her
When Georgia Smiled - The Robin McGraw Revelation Foundation creates and advances initiatives of support for those who experience domestic violence and sexual assault. To this end, the Foundation wanted to expand its network of student leaders and influencers across the country working to end sexual violence on college campuses.
We created a social media campaign platform targeted to male athletes, called iAspire For Her.
One in five women experience a form of sexual assault during their undergraduate years. Despite these incidents on campus and in the media, we believe the majority of men are appalled by this horrible epidemic, and are ready to take action. The #iAspire For Her campaign highlights athletes and upstanding men across the US who are contributing a positive voice on the issue of sexual assault as a champion for a woman in their life and a role model for others.
We launched the campaign with a grassroots approach, creating and shipping “Influencer Kits” - a welcome note, a roll of athletic tape and a Sharpie. College male athletes were asked to write the name of a woman they love for whom they’re standing up against sexual assault on the athletic tape, wear it on their wrist and post a photo of themselves on social media with #iAspire. These upstanding men were featured on the iaspireforher website in a curated gallery of social post images that promoted the cause.
